Peacock Masquerade

Hey Guys & Dolls! Today I’m sharing a fantastic Peacock inspired mask- PERFECT for Halloween. This would be great to do for a party or masquerade ball- you’ll be the belle of the ball! It’s simple to make this look pulled together with one or two tasteful peacock accessories, and your sexiest LBD- My advice is to not go too flashy with your other accessories, just stick to a single-color dress (though black and teal color-black dress would also be PERFECTION! I tried to show pretty much the whole process, but much of the continued application of color and blending had to be edited out for time (trust me, the original cut was not entertaining to watch). Just keep adding and blending until you achieve the desired look- I recommend doing a test before you do this makeup to wear out.  Get Ready to strut your stuff! Below are more pictures, a video tutorial, and a list of what I used so you can recreate this striking mask!

Hi Guys and Dolls!

This video was incredibly difficult to get up. As some of you may know, my computer is in the shop (see my computer woes post).  I’m using my older-than-dirt- back-up computer so please forgive me if this post and corresponding video are a touch rough. When you use your computer as much as I do, and one day it mysteriously won’t turn on, it feel like someone cut off your right hand (or left for you lefties out there!) and I must admit, I’m a little lost without my computer :) Let’s call hope it’s a cheap fix! Editing this video on my mom’s computer gave me a hand-cramp like you wouldn’t imagine! OK enough complaining, Here’s a ceremonial Pics & Prodz:

What I used:

Moisturizer  (you want your skin to be hydrated so the face-paint doesn’t stain )

MAC Studio Fix Powder

NYX Black eyeshadow

MAC Technakohl Eyeliner

Make Up For Ever 12 Flash Color Palette (Brown and Black)

Sugarpill Chroma Lust “Goldilux” Mixed with MAC Fix + to create a eyeshadow-paint

MAC Brick Lipliner

Wet ‘n’ Wild 911 Matte Lipstick

Zombie Pin Up Makeup (Pic Heavy)

Hi Ghouls and Dolls. Or Guys and Ghouls. Or Ladies and Germs( what is this, a choose-your-own adventure greeting?) Here’s my final Halloween look for 2009, and It’s my personal favorite. I know I didn’t do much this Halloween, but I think everyone else about had it covered. I a HUGE zombie freak, as well as a HUGE Pin-Up freak, so this was combining two loves for me, which is nearly always a good time (chocolate and peanut butter anyone?)

I hope you guys enjoy this video, it was quite a labor of love. I edited for the first time in Sony Vegas (ok, that’s not entirely true. I made a makeup removal video for my Ghettoccino channel using Sony Vegas but all I did was crop like, 2 things and add a watermark. Big whoop). I also did video that was nearly all voice-over, another first. I think the end result turned out great, even if it took forever (a lot of that was just learning).

I’ve included a TON of pictures, I really love the way this turned out.

I forgot to mention this in the video, but I have yo give a shout-out to Candy, she’s the one who showed me I could use eyelash glue instead of Liquid Latex (and I could not find my Liquid Latex, so that advice came in handy!)

Next Halloween I will start taking requests early so I can do tons more Halloween videos for you guys!

Jack Skellington/ Skull Halloween Makeup

Hi Ladys and Germs! This short and sweet, Since I’m running out the door, but really there isn’t much to say that the video did not say, but if I forgot something,  I’ll fill it out tomorrow.  If You’d like to see my Sally Look, here’s a playlist with all of them (thank you to BethanyAquino for creating this playlist) Click HereJack Skellington 027Jack Skellington 040Jack Skellington 043Jack Skellington 044

Tell my this doesn't creep you out? It's like A chucky skull. NIGHTMARES!

Tell my this doesn't creep you out? It's like A chucky skull. NIGHTMARES!

What I used to make this happen:

I exfoliated me face to make it SMOOTH since the white picks up on every pore or line on your face.

I primed my face using a really great moisturizer that smooths out my skin. You can use your fave moisturizer, or Foundation Primer if you like. I used Cosmedicine’s Medi-Matte.

I used a Elmer’s Glue Stick to cover my brows

For the eyeliner I used Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liner in Zero. Any Water proof/smudge proof eyeliner will do. I used this to line my top and bottom water lines, and to laine all around the eye shape for Jack’s hollowed out eyes. Using an eyeliner make doing this a lot easier for the initial mapping out of where you should place the eyes.

For the white face Makeup I used Mehron’s Paradise AQ makeup in “white” from my “basic” Palette.

For the eyes, Nose, and mouth I used the Black from the same palette.

To Powder my hair, I used My Dry Shampoo from batiste….and Lots of it!
