Hi Guys & Dolls!
Todays tutorial has a double inspiration behind it. The first burst came while I was talking about makeup with my friend Jamie. She mentioned some Burgundy and Grey liners and instantly I thought- what a fab color combo! I immediately made note of colors to use in a makeup tutorial- I love when inspiration comes like that.
While I was getting ready to make this video I was listening to the Black Key’s “10 Cent Pistol”. In the song a woman gets back at an ex-lover and their new partner with a “10 Cent Pistol”(which could mean either drugs laced with poison or Acid). Not really a cheery song, but I love that type of stripped down, distressed music. The Black Keys make the type of music you feel like you’ve known your whole life- you just instantly like them (at least I do) if you haven’t checked them out please do!

This look is rather glam with the bold eyes and lips, a fall color palette, straight hair and the Kardashian Kurve top that is covered in lipstick and shoes, and is perhaps at odds with the sound and theme of the music. I imagined the Heroine (or Villain, depending on your perspective) getting dolled up to ruin the lives of those who dun wrong’d her! Looking good is the best revenge anyway.

I love the burgundy and silver together, especially with the lips. you look gorgeous
Thanks Doll!
Did you put lipliner for the color only or does it helps the lipstick to stay longer even though you already use a primer?
Thanks
This looks great, especially with your hair! I saved your picture because I really want to try this color combo soon. I just hope I have something close to the burgundy color, I don’t tend to gravitate colors like that and might not have anything even remotely similar.
Love this look, and I LOVE that song!
The Silver color is so metallic and gorgeous, I really think you captured the subtle bad-assery of the black keys.
Well done, as usual!
Hi Cora! I love, love, loooove this look! It’s really inspiring especially for me because I’ve been in an edgy mood lately, must be the fall weather or something hahaha. Oh, also in the products list the name of Jordana eyeshadow duo is wrong, it’s “Double Impact” that you’re using not “Double Effect”… Just wanted to let you know
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Oops I’ll fix that right away! Thank you

Hi Cora,
I live in Beirut Lebanon (middle east), I have a full round face & full eyes…(my crease bone is invisible!! A bit like Japanese eyes…
) Any tips for that?
I enjoy ur tutorials so much & learn a great deal from them!! I wait for your posts impatiently & try to apply ur techniques on my eyes
I used to stick to burgundy color for eye make-up (with hazel eyes I feel it goes well…) but since I’ve been watching ur tutorials, I have become more daring & just widened my palette!!
Thank u so much for ur beautiful tutorials!
All the best!
