Jem 80′s Glam Rock Tutorial

Hi Guys & Dolls!

I’m so excited about today’s tutorial!! JEM! There’s a reason why Jem and the Holograms is so enduring despite being sort of lo-fi cheesy kids show: it was geared toward girls, everyone had cool hair and makeup, and cute boyfriends with cool names like Rio. Sure, the songs were really cheesy, But it’s for that reason that we still treasure it. It’s a classic 80′s Icon, and it makes a fab costume. But before I go on let’s get real- the Misfits songs really were better. Continue reading

Malice In Wonderland

Hi Guys & Dolls!

Malice In Wonderland. My concept of MAlice is of a psychopathic killer obsessed with blood in a “Dexter” sort of way. Pop Art/Comic Book Girl Makeup Tutorial

Hi Guys & Dolls!

It’s pretty easy to guess the inspiration behind this tutorial: Pop Art & Comics! This was a  lot of fun to do and to wear- it’s visually striking and if you forget you’re wearing it and pass by a mirror you’ll get a  ”whoa” moment! The makeup is so iconic and recognizable that it makes a perfect cheap Halloween costume. There are so many options with this: Dots or no dots, You can wear clothes you already own, use makeup you already have, and you don’t even have to wear the wig, I just thought it was fun! Catwoman Makeup Tutorial

Hi Guys & Dolls!

Welcome to my first Halloween video for 2012! Catwoman is such an iconic and sexy character, and dressing up like her seems to be popular year after year. My Catwoman is based on the Michelle Pfeiffer incarnation, with a little bit of my own spiciness (purple eyeshadow). To me Catwoman isn’t really a Villain  but a good girl gone bad. I dedicate this video to all the Bad Girls out there! Continue reading
