Soft Summer Makeup

Hi Guys & Dolls!

I hope you’re all having a great summer! Many of you requested a tutorial for the makeup I was wearing in my IMATS Haul video, and I was thrilled to do it for you! I think the most important elements of this makeup are the irregular and layered false lashes, they look very Kim Kardashian to me. This is a great go-to beauty makeup because the soft look, the placement and color choices enhance the features of the face without overwhelming them. The colors I chose are flattering on a wide variety of skintones and eye colors, though you may want to tweak it a bit to suit your own taste.  I get a lot of requests on how to blend, so I made sure to mention direction as well as how to layer.

Below I have a list of what I used to create the look, as well as a few substitutes.

Face:

Foundation Primer-Hourglass Veil Primer

Foundation-MAC Matchmaster Foundation 1.0 applied with a Hakuhodo G5555

Concealer-OCC Concealer Y0 applied with a Sigma F75 & Blended with the Mrs. Bunny E40

Setting Powder-Purely Cosmetics Diamond Powder applied with a Royal & Langnickel Revlotion BX-05

Blush- Pandora’s Makeup Box Blush Lolita applied with a Royal & Langnickel Revlotion BX-10

Eyes:

Eye Primer-Too Faced Shadow Insurance (substitute with the E.L.F. Primer)

Deep Plum Eyeshadow-Inglot 115R Deepest Shade (substitute with Wet ‘n’ Wild Lust palette, MAC Fig 1, Sigma Gossip)

Wet ‘n’ Wild I <3 Matte Palette:

White Eyeshadow (substitute with Sugarpill Tako, Milani White Lie, NYX Whiteetc..)

Beige Eyeshadow (Wet ‘n’ Wild Brulee, MAC Blanc Type or Brulee, Milani French Vanilla etc..)

Cantaloupe Eyeshadow (substitute with Wet ‘n’ Wild Greed Palette, MAC Tete e Tint or Soft Brown, Mixing Beige shadows with peaches or oranges)

Red Brown Eyeshadow (MAC Embark or Handwritten, Milani Abstract)

Crease & Lid-Cantaloupe & Beige shades applied with Sonia Kashuk Small Multi-Purpose Powder Brush 

Outer Lid- Red-Brown & Purple applied with Sigma E25

Brown Bone- White & Beige applied with Sigma E25

Inner Corner Highlight- White & Beige with Sigma E36

Liner- Inglot AMC Matte Gel Liner 74 

Mascara- Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara 

False Lashes- Miss Adoro 423

Lips:

Inglot Sleeks Cream  Lip Paint 105

    • Phyrra, yes! Love your blog, Cora’s + Marlena’s the absolute best. Got the MUG extender palette + 4 singles for a Z in the recent sale. Marlena has outdone herself! They’re fab w/ a great price point. Please persuade Cora to do some looks w/ MUG. You three bring such fun to my life.. I always recommend your blogs to anyone who does fun make-up, as customers in my retail MWJ (minimum wage job). Nobody in my day job even wears any! Think of the fun they are missing!
