Hi Guys & Dolls!
I decided to expand on the Joan video and make a little Ladies on Mad Men Series! I already have a long-term series (Disney Princess ) so I’m going to keep this one short and sweet, just Joan, Peggy, Betty and Megan.
Peggy Olson is a copywriter for SCDP. If you ask me, she’s the the character who’s changed the most throughout the series- she started out a mousy and unsure secretary, dressing like a school marm and she just seemed utterly lost. Over the years she has come out of her shell, been promoted to copywriter, and said things like this:
“My Name Is Peggy Olson and I’d Like to Smoke Some Marijuana.”
Though it hasn’t officially been stated, I believe she’s the head copywriter at SCDP. She’s moved toe the city, her best friend is a lesbian, she’s smoked dope, she drinks like the boys, had multiple affairs & boyfriends, and probably the best thing about her is her constant acknowledgement of the sexism of the 60′s. Is Peggy not the coolest? I think she’s the most relatelable character, and in someways she’s a young Don Draper.
If I could be any character on Mad Men, I’d be Peggy.
Peggy doesn’t wear a lot of face makeup, she mostly looks fresh faced, almost like she’s wearing not makeup, but she often will wear a bold lip color. I hope you enjoy this tutorial!

I’m so glad you did a Peggy look. I feel like she is so overlooked in beauty tutorial land. And yeah, I agree, IMO she’s the only likeable character on the show.
I agree! When I went to look up “Peggy Makeup” 99% of the results were related to her season 1 fat suit. I love her!

Love the idea of this series + LOVE YOU! As an older fan, who has preserved Revlon’s original Naked Pink from before the Kennedy assassination, you are hitting center target. The series captures the schizo nature of the era so well. Sally isn’t considered old enough to wear makeup (despite how old she is allowed to dress), but she can catch Megan’s mother giving Roger, well, you know…. If you know anything about linguistics, you know there is a surface structure + a deep structure to everything… and you always hit both in your series…especially Tinkerhell. Let us not forget Jon Hamm’s other turn in Bridesmaids….’What’s up, f@# buddy?’ Too funny. Keep your work coming.. keeps me sane + motivated in the m/u dept.
