Hi Guys & Dolls! Today’s tutorial is another installment of the Disney Princess series! Disney’s version of Rapunzel is innocent, adventurous, cute as a button voiced by an actress I really adore, Mandy Moore. I have to admit Tangled looked really dumb to me when I saw the trailer, but it was SO GOOD! I’ve seen it twice in 2 weeks and I will probably watch it again very soon. It’s a different take on the traditional story, and this Rapunzel, or “flower” is not quite a damsel in distress- in fact she’s quite handy with a frying pan (oh that poor lad’s head!
I’d never seen the movie before I decided to do the Princess series, so while watching the movie I looked at everything for inspiration, for her hair(pale blond), to her eyes(bright green), to her dress(lilac). For this look I took inspiration from the kingdom’s flag, a golden yellow sun on a red-violet background. The idea for the “sun rays” I borrowed from Goldiestarling on Yoututbe, check out her original video here.

Wow i’ve never seen anything like this. SO gorgeous. One of my favorite looks of yours. I look forward to remaining looks in the series
I love it! The crown looks like gold eyelash when your eyes are opened. Amazing art work.
This is beautiful! I love hearing what inspires a look. The golden points behind the spiked purple lashes add so much dimension and tie the whole thing together.
how freaking COOL is this??? i really love it, so fabulously done
That is so, so pretty! I don’t know why, but your videos always make me happy. You seem like a really upbeat person! Maybe when I grow up, I can be a cool blogger like you!
On a more serious note, though, those rays really do look fantastic with the lashes… it combines to make this really lush, pretty look. Great job!
Wonderful look! Tangled is my favorite Disney movie.
Are you going to do a princess Tiana look too? I did a look inspired by her a couple of months ago. Feel free to check it out!
