Hi Guys and Dolls!

Today’s look is a beginner & (mostly) wallet friendly soft-to-smoky eye. There is no complicated eyeliner, nothing over technical, and you can dupe all of the products I used. This is just a breezy warm smoky eye that wears well and is easy to recreate and tailor make for yourself.  This video is a voice-over tutorial, let me know what you guys think of my version of the voice-over or voice over videos in general. I don’t see me going all-voice over, but it might be nice to switch it up. (I think it helps me focus on the makeup itself, though it is impersonal)

PS I’ve been LOVING Cargo Blushes lately. I have Rome & Tonga of the regular blushes and the original Blu-Ray highlighter/blush- what other shades do you like?  They are SO expensive, but they make your skin look really plush!

What I used:

Face:

MAC NW20 Pro Longwear Concealer and NW15Select Cover-up. One is too dark, the other is too light, together it’s perfect.

MAC Light Mineralize Skinfinifh Natural

Cheeks:

MAC Tenderling Blush (contour)

Cargo Original Blu-Ray Highlighter (One of my fave blushes of all time!)

Eyes:

Nars Smudge-proof eyelid primer

Pastel Orange with Orange and Gold reflects from the E.L.F. Eyeshadow Transformer Palette ( it makes your face like Optimus Prime!*)

Peachy-Brown from the Wet ‘n’ Wild Greed Palette (if you have it Mac’s Tete-A-Tint or Soft brown work about the same)

Milani Illusion Eyeshadow (this is a very light pink with gold shimmer. You could use the similar color that is is in the Greed Palette, but the Milani version is smoother and more pigmented)

Chocolate Brown from the Wet’n'Wild Vanity Palette (If you have MAC’s Embark or Hadwritten those work the same)

Lips:

Milani Attitude Lipstick (Rosey/Mauve/Pink with gold shimmer)

MAC Soar Lipliner (Mauve Brown)

MAC Poetic License Lipgloss ( a very pigmented creamy/peach/nude)

Hey Guys and Dolls!

Last Friday I popped into the Cosmetic Company Store in Vacaville Ca to see if there were and steals & deals I couldn’t pass up, and I let me tell you- I found quite a few goodies! Before I indulge you with the goods I want to let you in on some details.  I know some of you are sitting there asking what is a cco/ccs? These stores are in Outlet Malls (so they are outlet stores) where you can buy products from Estee Lauder Brands (such as Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Origins, M.A.C etc) for 30% off original retail. It’s not a very big store, so they don’t carry the full range from each line, usually just discontinued, Limited Edition and over stock items. I’ve been a shopping at the one in Vacaville for about 2 years now, and I nearly always find a gem from a collection I missed out on. In short, I love the CCS!

I’ve found some really cool stuff in the past, like full-size brushes, &  Graphic Garden Palette that was different from the Collection Release (with a quality -control sticker written in Chinese! Click here to read that blog post). Since CCO/CCS’s can be kind of hit or miss, I want to share some of the goodies I found a few days ago!
