I have a substance abuse problem : mini MAC Haul!

I cracked. BIG TIME! After deciding that I didn’t want or need any of the Holiday palettes, last night, I realized I really WANTED the cool eyes one. It has so many purples, and my 88 palette is SUCK for purples. BTW, purple is my favorite, of all my favorite colors. PLUS, the palette itself is Magenta. HOT. Now, this year’s packaging DOES leave something to be desired:

The Palette is Plastic, not metal, like last years, but it APPEARS to be metal….BOO MAC, BOO!
They Claim that “satisfy” is a Luster, which it is not (Happily), but the fact that they can’t label them right irks me.
The 213 in this set is a JOKE! I’ll include pictures of my two other 213se side by side: It’s sad. But it will be nice for inner corners.

Other than that, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s pretty, great for every-day, toned down looks. 3 pinks, 3 purples. I haven’t had too much time to play with it one my eyes, but trust and believe, there will be a tutorial!

PICS coming soon!

Sonia Kashuk Brushes

GO PICK SOME UP!

Lol. seriously tho. I fist found out about these by checking out the makeup section at Target about two years ago. my then-roommate Liz (hi Liz) bought the black-funky handled powder brush and I fell IN LOVE with it. (i still don’t have it…Boo) Then I sort of forgot about them until I became addicted to Makeup alley. Now I have 6 of the white handled ones (and counting). they are SO soft, SUCH good quality. These are WAY better quality than my MAC Se brushes. I really want them all (but i have SO many brushes….but can you really have too many?) I’d say my must haves are the Large Crease Brush (the one with black hairs), the angled liner (have you SEEN prices from other companies?!) and the angled-eyeshadow one (i forgot the official name). The LCB is incredible! it changed the face of my makeup, literally!

The best part? These are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! Most are around 5.99 and you can pick them up at target! OMG!

I love ‘em

I also included this picture of this CUTE bow I got a target 2 for a buck. Look for it in my upcoming Invader Zim video ^_^

So, Nixi’e…….

The pigmentation is wonderful, the ! the eyeshadows interchangeably

I finally bit the bullet and got some Nixi’e , and I’ve got to tell you, I have NO idea why I waited SO LONG?!The pigmentation is wonderful, the,eye shadows are SMOOTH like BUTTA! the eye shadows and blushes fit in the same pans which makes my life SO easy, plus, you can use them interchangeably!
(here I have the blush in small talk on my lids…HOT)
The lip gloss smells AMAZING, and has enough coverage that I consider it like a gloss and a lipstick in one, and it smells great without being too much. the eye shadows & blushes are 4.4 grams VS MAC eyeshadow which are 1.5 grams. The price for the pro pans in $12.50, and MAC’s are $11. so, for a buck 50 more, you get 2.9 more grams……so yeah. the pigments they call “Ultra Pearl” and they are BEAUTIFUL! the texture is JUST LIKE MAC! they sell for 14.50 and you get 11.3 grams, VS MAC’s pigmesnts, 19.50 for 7.5 grams. I’m giddy about this stuff guys! I really can’t wait to get more, but I’ve got some SERIOUS stuff coming up, so we’ll see when that happens, hopefully by the end of the year! ^_^

SUBSCRIBE for updates I’ll be updating this more often then my Youtube.

Hey guys! Here’s the pictures from my latest tutorial. Ever since I got Forest Green Pigment last year, I’ve had the hardest time working with it. It’s really dark, and blends out A LOT so, it can be difficult and messy. Old Gold is one of the most unique pigment I’ve come across. It’s bronzy-green -gold. It flashes and Orange-Bronze and a Neon-Chartreuse. I’ve paired this one with oranges with good results, but I like this combo best so far ^_^

First Post: "Red She Said" Event

Hi everyone!

I’m starting this blog so I can create a space to do more, say more, show more. I will be posting fairly often, and will be including additional pictures from tutorials, pictures of upcoming tutorials, and “FOTD”
or as I say, “eyeshadow outfit”. I will also use this space to write about various other tid bits I pick up, and information I think is interesting. So, with out further adieu:

This Sunday I went to the “Red She Said” event, at the MAC store in Berkeley CA. I had a BLAST that day with my Mom! It was packed like sardines, but that was ok, I guess, I expected about as much. There were HOT cater waiters (that phrase ALWAYS reminds me of the SATC where they go to the purse party ^_^). I wore MAC black, a pretty blouse and a pencil skirt with a pleated hem (I love this outfit) and 4 people thought I worked there, which was entertaining. (plus I was helping my mom…two people also thought my mom and I worked at the Avenue earlier that day….whatever).

The new collection didn’t really do anything for me which was a real bummer. I was totally looking forward to Danger Zone eyeshadow, but you just get the teeniest sliver of the red, and that’s what I was mostly interested in. The other thing I was interested to check out was Stark Naked Blush, which also dissappointed my, as I showed up as mostly glitter. So, I moved on the Palettes, hoping to find one I couldn’t live with out. Didn’t happen. They’re all right, but they’re really not my thing. Too bad too, cause they’re such a good value. I may pick up the cool eyes one. It WAS really pretty. hm, time will tell.

I wasn’t the only one not feeling the new collection, MANY MANY women were checking out everything from blushes, to eyeshadow, to the displays from other current collections. all the sales people were really helpful, I always get such great service at the MAC store in Berkeley, whereas in town @ my counter (2 min from my house^_^) they always seem a touch stuck up, and SO busy.

I ended up just getting some regular eyeshadow from the permanent collection. I’ve included some picture to show ya, and these will definetley be making their way into future tutorials ^_^

Much <3
